The advanced iSTAR 4108RM is a 2U 8-disk RAID engine embedded intelligent iSCSI rackmount storage system product line, suitable for daily Disk-to-Disk (D2D) backup, CCTV, video editing, e-mail archive, etc.

The iSTAR 4108RM features a next generation 64-bit Scale storage processor capable of sustaining data rates up to 165MB/Sec, and offers a cutting edge web-based user interface which provides complete storage control over a standard web browser.

Enterprise-class storage system features like Snapshot, N-Way Mirror & RAID 6 are standard in the iStar 4108RM as is expandability.

The iStar 4116RM, intelligent iSCSI RAID System, is the latest addition to the already comprehensive United Digital product range with a built-in 64-bit raid for mission critical applications. Utilizing the cost-effective 3Gbps Serial ATA disks, the 4116RM offers Enterprise-grade solution for applications that demand nothing short of superior reliability.

Designed to meet the challenge of high impact/high volume network storage requirements, the new 4116RM can be configured in minutes and is becoming the new standard for simplified SAN storage. With thousands of installations across the UK United Digital’s products have built a solid reputation in markets spanning from video broadcasting, call logging and prepress to emerging disk based backup & recovery infrastructures.

Featuring two GbE ports (iSCSI) for data, the 4116RM runs 10 times faster than a NAS system and provides versatility critical to a company's IT infrastructure. 4116RM is powered by a cutting edge 64-bit RAID engine, up to 1GB cache, and 3.0 Gbp/s disks, which maximizes disk performance (80MB/s single channel) allowing for a broader range of storage possibilities.

Built-in enterprise feature such as Snapshot, providing point-in-time recovery that safeguard accidental deletion, makes the new 4116RM an ideal solution for server storage such as Microsoft Exchange & SQL Server, as well as professional storage applications such as disk-to-disk backup, database pools, image acquisition, near line storage, data centres, media & asset management libraries and shared SAN networks.
