UD FireStar RM is a cost effective stand-alone 1U Rackmount combo RAID storage appliance with a built-in OS transparent RAID engine that targets security Surveillance, HDV editing, SMB, workgroup, and departmental backup usage.

It comes with a hardware embedded RAID engine that wraps four (4) SATA disks into one RAID protected (0, 5) volume, while connecting to a host computer with either USB 2.0, FireWire400/800, or eSATA port.
